The High Country Handiworkers 4-H Club met on Monday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the McKee Building at the Ranch in Loveland, Colorado.
Club leader, Cindy Buckardt, recapped the end of the last 4-H year and announced opportunities for the coming year. Our club received a 3rd place trophy for our float in the parade. Members should be sure to write thank-you notes to their project superintendents and award sponsors. Our club’s completion percentage was 85% for projects last year.
The exchange club is accepting new members, hosting the first year and traveling the second. The Junior Leader Club is accepting new members. Cloverbud and Leathercraft meetings will be moving to the third Monday of the month for this 4-H year.
Our club will be participating in Turning Pens for the Troops on November 3rd. The wood for writing pens is shaped in a lathe and then pens are shipped to members of the military.
4-H Achievement Night is on November 8th at the McKee Building. Enrollment opened on October 16th. There will be a Foods project meeting on November 4th.
The next meeting will be on November 11th at 7:00 p.m. at the McKee Building.
