The High Country Handiworkers meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. on December 13, 2021 by President Josh Ryan at the McKee Building at The Ranch.
The pledges were lead by Logan Cumpston, Cassandra Snyder, Keegan Lusczakoski, Avery Kemper, Maddie Jessen, Bodhi Jessen, and Dylan Best.
Roll call was taken by Eden Copeland. This month’s question was “What are your plans for Christmas?”
Morgan Copeland moved to approve the secretary’s report from November as posted on the club website. The motion was seconded and APPROVED.
Clara Coats presented the treasurer report. In the checking account we have $350.51, in the savings account we have $5,586.60 and the CD has $2,063.11.
CharLee Davis was absent and we did not have a reporter’s report.
Kinzie Copeland volunteered to lead the sunshine report in Kathryn Cox’s absence. There were no members present with December birthdays.
Avery Kemper, junior leader, presented the Cloverbud report. In November they played Thanksgiving BINGO and made pumpkins crafts.
The remainder of the ribbons, certificates, and pins from 2021 were awarded.
Leader’s Report:
Beekeeping Project – First workshop on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Shooting Sports – Annual Safety Meetings on Zoom are mandatory and here are four dates: January 19, February 9, March 23, and April 6. New members and members adding a discipline with need to go to an In-person Orientation next. Dates for In-Person Orientations are on January 29 and April 16.
Carcass Contest – We had club members in the top 10: Trinity Dunham for Goat, Brooke Carlson for Goat, and Catherine Donnelly for Beef.
4-H Carnival – Our club will have three baskets to auction at the 4-H carnival in March. Members should bring items to fit one of the themes: Hunting/Outdoor Skills, Colorado/Sports, and Sweets. Please bring items to the next meeting in January.
Foods Project – Foods project meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 pm. in the McKee Building.
Exchange Club – The next meeting is on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Sportfishing – Ice fishing trip is planned for Saturday, February 19 at Dowdy Reservoir in Red Feather.

Old Business:
SCHEELS Giving – We did not win a grant from SCHEELS.
4-H Carnival – Tickets will be distributed at the January meeting. Members must sell 25 or more to be in good standing for future scholarships and funding.
New Business:
Club Officer Elections – Elections were held. Our officers are as follows: President, Josh Ryan; Vice President, Nate Rogers; Secretary, Eden Copeland; Treasurer, Trinity Dunham, Reporter, Morgan Copeland; Historian, Marley Gebhardt; Sunshine, Kinzie Copeland, Victoria Freeland, and Avery Kemper.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:29 p.m. to wrap presents for Foster and Adoptive Children of Larimer County’s Christmas party, and cookies were shared.
