January 2023 Meeting Report

The High Country Handiworkers 4-H Club met on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the McKee Building at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.

Enrollment is due for returning members by February 1, 2023 and March 1, 2023 for new members.

The club voted on 4 booths to host at the upcoming Larimer County 4-H Carnival, which will be held March 4, 2023 at The Ranch in Loveland. The winning votes were for the following booths: Lollipop Pull, Iron Man, TP Toss, and Rubberband Shoot.

There were three demonstrations at the meeting which included 3D printing, muzzleloading supplies, and welding protection.

Leader reports included Beekeeping, Photography, Foods, Scrapbooking, Shooting Sports, and Visual Arts.

The club discussed adopting a senior assisted living facility in Loveland.

Information was given about how to complete and pay for 4-H registration for this year. Hunter’s Education class was also discussed as an upcoming event for members to participate in.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:21 p.m.

The next meeting will be held February 13, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the McKee Building at The Ranch in Loveland.
