March 2023 Meeting Report

The High Country Handiworkers 4-H Club met on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the McKee Building at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.

Old business was discussed including discussion about enrollment.

The 4-H Carnival recap has been posted on the club website. Suggestions for the Iron Man game for next year were discussed.

New business included voting on new club t-shirt designs. We also discussed uploading dog IDs, the upcoming MQA make-up date on May 19th, and the upcoming hunter’s education. Several members attended training over the weekend to become certified leaders for Shooting Sports. 

There were four demonstrations during the meeting which included a clay thrower for target practice, Colorado flowers and bees, making plaster, making an air rifle, and how to make a rubber egg

Leader reports included Beekeeping, Photography, Foods, and Visual Arts. We also discussed checking the master calendar for project workshop dates and the importance of reading the Clover Connection and the club website.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 p.m.

The next meeting will be held on April 10, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the McKee Building at The Ranch in Loveland.
