June 2023 Meeting Minutes

Submitted by secretary, Eden Copeland.

The High Country Handiworkers meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. on June 12, 2023 by President Josh Ryan at the McKee Building at The Ranch.

The pledges were led by Cameron Keehn, Abigail Jones, Chloe Jones, Hannah Jones, Grace Jones, Jethro Jones, Madelyn Leppert, Kailen Kettle-Luther, Devon McNear, Victoria Freeland, Diego Pena, and Basil Price.

Roll call procedure: Please take your nametag from the alphabetized file box at the start of the meeting, when you grab your agenda and Parli Pro book. Then at the end of the meeting, drop the name tags in the buckets at the exits of the room. This will be more effective for roll calls, saving time going through the entire list of members.

Hannah Jones moved to approve the minutes from May as submitted by Eden Copeland and posted on the club website. The motion was seconded and APPROVED.

In the absence of treasurer Gideon Rivera, club leader Cindy Buckardt presented the treasurer’s report. In the checking account, we have $1,296.72, in the savings account we have $5,591.72 and the CD has $2,102.64.

Avery Kemper gave the reporter’s report. The meeting report was submitted to the local papers and posted to our club website and social media.

Willow Cameron led the sunshine report for the June birthdays. Cindy read thank you cards that we had received. Sympathy cards were passed around and signed for Jim and Jackie Easthouse. Sympathy cards for Kate Ulam and get-well cards for David McConnell were also signed.

The Cloverbuds met at the park at the Berthoud Rec Center and built birdhouses out of toilet paper rolls and bird seed.
