The Parade and our Club Float

Decorating for the Float

This Friday, July 28 at 6:00 p.m., we’ll meet at Cindy’s shop (Construction Supply House, 806 North 2nd Street in Berthoud) to create decorations for our club’s parade float.

The club will supply pizza. Bring your water bottle or something to drink.

You can also bring your record books to be reviewed and signed.

Larimer County Fair Parade

All members are invited to participate with our club in the Larimer County Fair Parade on Saturday, July 29 at 9:30 a.m. We will have our club float, a float for the Cloverbuds, and members can choose to walk and pass out candy. (Candy cannot be thrown from the float, it must be handed out.)

The theme for the parade is Through the Decades. Members can dress like 4-Hers through the years, or wear their club shirts.
Be sure to wear sunscreen, bring a hat, and bring a water bottle.

The float will be parked on Railroad Avenue, headed toward First Street. It’s easiest to park at the Barnes Softball Park and walk across to Fairgrounds Park and Railroad Avenue.

Please plan to have your kids on the float between 9:00–9:20 a.m.

Parents are welcome to sit and watch the parade as a group, then pick up their members after the parade. We will be sitting at the house at 246 South Cleveland. Bring your chairs and look for the HCH group.
