2024 Award Nominations for Members and Leaders

At the end of the 4-H year, we want to acknowledge the accomplishments and hard work of our members and the volunteers who help support them.

The nominations are open now through September 27, and then the awards will be presented at the Larimer County 4-H Achievement Night on November 8 at the McKee 4-H Building.

Following is a list of the awards and a description of each. We encourage members and families to think about nominating fellow members and leaders.

4-H Member Awards

Congeniality Award for Members

This award recognizes a 4-H member who worked very hard to help someone else during the County Fair. If you know of a member who accomplished this, please nominate him/her for this award.

Diligence Award for Members

This special award is presented to a 4-H member who tried very hard, but due to some unusual circumstance had a difficult time. Do you know someone in your club like that? If so, please nominate them. This might be the encouragement a 4-H member needs to stay in the program.

Family and Consumer Living Member Award

The Family Consumer Living Award is for 4-H members who have had an outstanding 4-H career in Family Consumer Science projects and activities. This award is presented to 4-H member(s) with a strong, well-rounded consumer family living background. More details about this award and the nomination requirements can be found by clicking here.

Community Service Member Award

1st, 2nd, 3rd place awarded to both individuals and clubs
Community service projects are a very important part of the Larimer County 4-H Program. We will recognize outstanding club and individual Community Service projects at the Achievement Night with cash prizes from the 4-H Foundation. Find more about information requirements for this nomination here.

4-H Leader Awards

Above and Beyond Award

This is an award for 4-H volunteers who have planned and implemented a one-time event or do more than their recruited/enrolled expectations and duties.

Outstanding Chaperone Award

This award is for 4-H volunteers who make the travel, training, or camping experience of young people a positive, life-long memory.

Communicator Award

This award is for 4-H volunteers who have developed newsletters, handbooks, social media, or personal meetings to communicate with 4-H members and families.

Outstanding Club Organizational Leader

This award is for 4-H volunteers who have worked exclusively to make their club strong, vibrant, and inclusive.

Outstanding District/State Leader

This award is for 4-H volunteers who have been involved at the District/State level and in getting youth involved at the District/State level.
