Club News for December 8

Happy Holidays!

This Monday, December 13 will be our final club meeting for 2021. What a year full of challenges…I look forward to a great 2022!

At this meeting, we will elect our club officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, Historian, and Sunshine person. Please consider each role and decide if you would like to run. Keep in mind the time commitment and the expectations for fulfilling the position. You can find descriptions and duties for each office at this link. If you plan to run for office, please prepare a brief speech to introduce yourself, your years in 4-H (if any), and why you would like to be elected to the office.

Community service is a 4-H requirement and will be recorded in your e-Record submitted for the county fair. We will be completing one of our club community service projects at this meeting—we will be wrapping Christmas gifts for the Foster and Adoptive Families of Larimer County. No experience is required and we encourage Cloverbuds to attend as it’s great fun. Does it sound like chaos to have 40+ kids wrapping gifts? Well, it is, but it is organized chaos! The wrapping paper, scissors, and tape will be provided.

We also like to share cookies when we’re done wrapping. Please bring a dozen to share. No drinks are provided, so bring a water bottle or there is a drinking fountain available.

Don’t forget to bring an item to donate for our club baskets for the 4-H Carnival to be held on March 5.  Our basket themes are Hunting/Outdoor Skills, Colorado/Sports, and Sweets. You are welcome to bring items to the January meeting as well.

A few reminders: Please read the November club meeting minutes as posted on the club website prior to the meeting. If you are planning to present a demonstration, please sign up on the club website under the Signups page.

If you have not yet enrolled, please do so soon.

See you on Monday!
