Livestock Sale Add-ons

Did you know you can support our 4-H livestock members even if you didn’t buy an animal at the Livestock Sale? You can contribute any dollar amount to a 4-H member by doing a Livestock Sale Add-on.

Go to the payment portal (https://www.treventscomplex.com/plan-your…/payment-portal) and then Select Service Type “Larimer County Fair Jr Livestock Add-on.” Include your name, the child’s name, species, and a dollar amount. It’s a great way to show your support!

Pick Up Your Projects on August 11

All exhibits and record books must be picked up from the McKee Building on Wednesday, August 11th between 7:00–10:00 a.m.

We cannot guarantee that any projects not picked up by 10:00 a.m. on August 11th can be returned. Please plan accordingly.

If your project is eligible to go to the State Fair, please refer to the information printed on purple paper in your record book, or found here.

Interview Judging Day 2021

We are looking forward to seeing you at 2021 Interview Judging Day next Tuesday, August 3rd!

This year there will be some changes to the check-in process, so we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. In the spirit of 4-H, we are again learning by doing and seeking to make the best better!

Please read the following carefully. This will help the day flow more smoothly.

On arrival, all members should enter the Exhibit Hall in the McKee Building at The Ranch. Signs will indicate where you check-in, based on the first letter of your last name. (Shooting sports also needs to go to the Exhibit Hall for check-in this year.) At the check-in table, you will receive a manila envelope with pink cards in it. You will receive two matching pink cards for each of your exhibits.

Please keep your cards in the envelope until you are called for an interview, to prevent them from being lost or damaged. When you are called for an interview, present the two matching cards for the correct class to the volunteer. They will assist you in attaching the pink cards to your Record Book and Exhibit.

You will then complete your interview as usual. We appreciate you taking care to not lose your cards during this process.

Lastly, please remember that you must pick up your projects on August 11th between 7:00–10:00 a.m. Please plan accordingly.

We look forward to seeing you soon! Good luck with your final touches!

Best,

Cindy Buckardt
Kara Rudnick

Parade News

We are parade entries #39 and #39A. There are a total of 49 entries. The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. so please arrive at the float no later than 9:30 a.m.

Stephanie Lynch, Joseie Bielenberg, and Hanna Copeland are the parents in charge along with Lacey Adams for the Cloverbuds. If any parents want to ride the float, they are welcome to do that. And younger siblings can ride as long as they have an older sibling capable of watching them.

Parking is in the Barnes softball field complex. We own property at 246 South Cleveland, which is across the street from the School District building. There is plenty of space to park your chair to watch. If you are watching the parade and you have little ones, remember to bring a bag for gathering candy!

The club float trailer is being pulled by the Grundys—it is BLACK PICKUP.

The Cloverbud trailer is being pulled by my brother Bruce Hayward (William and Lilly’s Grandpa)—he has a PURPLE JEEP.

Remember to bring water bottles. (We will also have water available.) If a few want to walk, we have our club banner and candy to pass out. Make sure kids have applied sunscreen. Wear a club t-shirt if you have one, if not no worries. Just remember 4-H dress code (shorts should be mid-thigh). And will be sitting on hay bales.

We’re decorating the float tomorrow night, Friday, July 30, starting at 6:00 at Construction Supply House (806 North 2nd Street, Berthoud). Also, bring your record books for signature if they are ready.

Decorate the Fair Float this Friday

The Larimer County Fair Parade is on Saturday, July 31 at 9:30 a.m. Our club will be meeting at Cindy’s shop in Berthoud on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. to decorate our float…and eat pizza. Plan to join us!

Decorating the Parade Float

We’re decorating the parade float on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at Construction Supply House (806 North 2nd Street, Berthoud, CO) We have two floats to work on. If your record books are finished, bring them for signing.

The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. I should know where the float will be tomorrow and will let you all know. Please wear a club shirt and remember your water bottles.

Parents are welcome to ride the float or many of us sit at 246 South Cleveland—look for the sign out front that reads FAFLC on the east side of the street. Don’t forget to bring your chairs.

Interview Judging/Project Check-in

When you go to your interview on Tuesday, please remember the 4-H Dress Code. Also, before you sit down, reach your hand out to shake the judge’s hand and be sure to introduce yourself. Most importantly, RELAX!

Since we are using the Fair Entry software system for projects this year, a pink card will be attached to each project when it is checked in. But we recommend attaching a label with your name and the project just in case the card gets separated while at the Fair.

If your project is made to hang up, be sure to have a method of hanging attached so it can be displayed.
