2020 Achievement Celebration

We are excited to share a celebration of 4-H members’ achievements in 2020! Although this past 4-H year has been far from normal, you, the 4-H community have adapted. Leaders found fun and interesting ways to keep members involved. Members embraced the challenges of this year to complete their projects, participate in the county and state fairs, and even some national events. We are so proud of all of you and so grateful for everything you do to make the best better here in Larimer County!

In lieu of our usual special awards, the H awards were created to highlight some of the members and leaders who went above and beyond to overcome the difficulties of the year.

Along with the H Awards for both members and leaders, we are recognizing our contest winners and national qualifiers for this past year, and our 2019 state volunteer award winners who were recently announced.

We will be mailing plaques to the H Award winners and small gifts to those who are receiving special recognition this year. Completion certificates, pins, and ribbons, as well as returned shooting sports targets and scorecards will be mailed to organizational leaders to hand out the next time the club is able to meet in person. If anyone needs these items sooner, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Please enjoy this video of members and their accomplishments in 4-H! A big thank you to the Junior Leader Club for creating the video from pictures you sent in.

A big congratulations to all of our award winners and to all of you who persevered through this challenging year! Cheers to embarking on a new 4-H year together!

Brooke Carlson’s Livestock Business

“I am Brooke Carlson. I was the President of the High Country Handiworkers club for three years. I started my own livestock business four years ago. I breed, raise, train, and sell show-quality market goats. This year’s crop of kids is outstanding and show-stopping!

If you or someone you know is searching for high/show-quality, reasonably-priced, friendly market goats, your search is over! I have several Boer goat kids that are ready to be a part of a 4-Her’s project.
Direct message or text me if you are interested!”
