This day is filled with livestock opportunities for all species. Not only can you complete the Meat Quality Assurance training, but you can choose from a series of presenters who will be talking about current events or appropriate management practices to set yourself up for a successful year. See the schedule below.

The MQA session will be self-sufficient and open from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

This includes all Rabbits (including Companion Rabbits), Breeding/Show and Market, and All Poultry, including Breeding Chickens, Market Chickens, Breeding Ducks, Market Ducks, Breeding Geese, Market Geese, Breeding Turkeys, Market Turkeys, and Pigeons.

If this is your first year in a livestock project, you must attend. Members must attend once as a Junior member (4-H ages 8–13) and once again as a Senior member (4-H ages 14–18). All 8-year-olds and all 14-year-olds in livestock projects must attend this year.

This is an in-person event. You will have the opportunity to complete a series of exercises and learn about management practices and how they benefit your project. This process will take between 1–1-½ hours to complete.
