Poultry – May Meeting and 2023 Larimer County Fair Modified Show Information

Poultry project members should plan to attend the May Meeting next Tuesday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. at ARDEC. We will answer your questions about your project, birds, and showing.

Please see the attached map for the location and directions on how to get to the CoBank Building at ARDEC.

ARDEC is Colorado State University’s Agricultural Research, Development, and Education Center. ARDEC is located on East Frontage Road of I-25, near the Budweiser Brewery north of Fort Collins. We will be meeting in the CoBank Center for Agricultural Education at 4492 East County Road 56, Fort Collins, CO 80524 (County Rd 56 is located on the north side of the ARDEC complex.) Please enter through the main doors and we will be in one of the classrooms near the door.

Poultry will have a Modified Show at the Larimer County Fair on July 11–12, 2023 in the McKee Building at The Ranch. Please click here for all of the information.

Visual Arts / May Meeting

At the May meeting, Bethany will be leading us in Fiber Arts!

Reminders:

1. Bring dinner if you’re hungry!

2. If you are finished with borrowed sculpting tools, please return them to Brett.

3. You’re encouraged to bring any art projects you’re working on (or pictures of them) if you’d like feedback or want to ask questions about techniques, requirements, record books, etc.

4. For those that would like to give a demonstration to a smaller group, we should have time for a few during our meeting. If you can let me know ahead of time, that is appreciated, but not required 🙂

Plan:

Bethany has offered to lead a small project that members can work on during the meeting (bracelet or bookmark, etc).

In order to bring enough supplies, a rough headcount is appreciated—please let us know if you’re planning to come!

She can also answer questions about weaving projects.

*For those interested in purchasing a loom, Bethany recommends the Harrisville Lap Loom or a similar simple frame loom, at least 12″ x 16″.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Karley
