Arapahoe County Bakers’ Space Camp

Have a kid at home that loves to bake? Does your baker enjoy trying new recipes? Is your baker interested in selling baked goods? Arapahoe County 4-H is offering a VIRTUAL Bakers’ Space Camp for youth ages 12–16. The youth will learn about baking, food safety, and entrepreneurial skills. Each camper will be mailed a recipe book, oven thermometer, measuring utensils, CSU Cottage Food Safety Program Materials, and will have the opportunity to receive their own Cottage Foods Certification by passing an exam.

Youth will have the flexibility to bake several different recipes of their choosing from our recipe book. While ingredients are not provided, most recipes will be comprised of common baking ingredients and equipment. Camp counselors and CSU Extension staff will provide baking feedback and assistance throughout the camp. At the end of the camp, the youth will be eligible to take the online Cottage Foods Safety Certification Exam.
