Send Livestock Record Books for Review

Send your livestock record books to info@hch4h.org to have them reviewed. Then we’ll gather record books at the club picnic on Monday, September 9 and turn them in to the extension office for judging.

NOTE: Record books are due to the extension office by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27. If you don’t turn record books in by September 9, you must transport your own record book to the extension office.

4-H Dog Expo / April 7, 2024

Plan to attend the Statewide 4-H Dog Expo on Sunday, April 7 at The Ranch in Loveland. This event is open to all 4-H Dog Project members regardless of age or level. Hands-on workshops will cover Obedience, Rally, and Showmanship. Classes will be offered on Dog Behavior, Careers with Dogs, Veterinary Care, Dog Show Class Progression, and more! There will also be classes for parents/guardians. Members can attend with or without a dog. 

  • When: Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Where: Larimer County Fairgrounds, The Ranch, 5280 Arena Circle, Loveland, Colorado
  • Cost: $10 per member

Registration through v2.4HOnline.com is required and space is limited. The deadline to register is March 29.

Dog Project Training Workshops

The county 4-H Dog Training Workshops are free and open to all 4-H Dog Members. Obedience, Showmanship, and Rally workshops will be held on Monday evenings in the McKee 4-H Building Exhibit Hall at The Ranch,from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

First-year members: 6:00 p.m.

Second-year and above: 7:00 p.m.

Please remember that proof of current Rabies vaccination is required for all dogs participating in any of the County 4-H Dog Workshops. You can bring proof of Rabies vaccination to the first Dog project workshop you attend or scan the certificate and email to Anna Parrish at anna4hleader@gmail.com

Schedule Changes for May 17–20, 2023

There are multiple changes to the calendar for the next day or two. Here’s a quick listing:

• Horse Ride Night is CANCELED on Wednesday, May 17.
• Sheep & Goat Safe Management Practices MOVED from Wednesday, May 17 to Friday, May 19 during MQA.
• Dog Agility Workshop is CANCELED on Thursday, May 18.
• Beef Systems Workshop MOVED from Thursday, May 18 to Friday, May 19 during MQA.
• The Desperados Gymkhana Fun Day on Saturday, May 20 has been CANCELED and will be rescheduled.

• The Scrapbooking Workshop on Saturday, May 20 has been CANCELED.

Instructions to Enter Dog ID Information on 4HOnline

All 4-H Dog Project members are required to fill out a Colorado 4-H Dog Identification Form. Dog ID forms will be online only. You do not need to send a hard copy of your Dog ID to the Extension Office. Go to v2.4HOnline.com.

Directions to add an Animal ID:

  • Log in to v2.4HOnline.com using your family email
  • Go to the Member Page
  • Scroll down to the list of family members and click on “edit” next to your name (just like when you were enrolling)
  • Click on the “Animal/Livestock” button at the top
  • Choose your animal type “Dog”
  • Select “Add Animal”
  • Fill out the information and upload your dog’s shot records and photos
  • Click on “Save”
