Pee Wee Showmanship for Cloverbuds

Cloverbuds are invited to participate in Pee Wee Showmanship for Goats, Sheep, and/or Swine.

Here is the info for all shows:

  • Pee Wee exhibitors must be under 8 years old (4-H age).
  • Make arrangements with a 4-H youth who is showing at the Larimer County Fair to use their animal. Pee Wee showman can be accompanied by 4-H youth into the show ring.
  • Sign the release form provided when you sign up.
  • Pee Wee exhibitors must wear close-toed shoes.

Pee Wee Goat Showmanship

  • Thursday, August 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the MAC Arena.
  • Sign up 2 hours before the show (announced in the barn).
  • Limited to 30 participants.

Pee Wee Sheep Showmanship

  • Saturday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the MAC arena.
  • Sign up 2 hours before the show (announced in the barn).
  • Limited to 30 participants.

Pee Wee Swine Showmanship

  • Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the MAC arena.
  • Sign up after weigh-in (Friday, August 4, 6:00–8:00 a.m.).
  • Limited to 20 participants.

Fashion Revue Information for Cloverbuds

Cloverbuds may participate in the public Fashion Revue on July 26 at 7:00 p.m.

To participate, please email Jo Ann Belk at csuramfans@msn.com.

Cloverbuds also need to complete a narration in Word, double-spaced, and email it to Jo Ann Belk at csuramfans@msn.com by July 20.

Cloverbuds must also attend the rehearsal from 4:00–5:30 p.m. on July 26 at the McKee Building. Cloverbuds do not need to make the garment they are wearing, but must be able to do the modeling without assistance. Cloverbuds will model no more than one garment in the Fashion Revue.

June Cloverbuds Meeting

At the June meeting, our Cloverbuds played wild animal BINGO, then they learned about shoot/don’t shoot scenarios for safety. There were also two demonstrations from club members.

Schedule Updates

It’s very important that you check the club calendar. It has the most up-to-date information and lately it seems like lots of dates are changing—scheduling and weather have been challenges. For those in shooting sports it is extremely important that you go to the shooting sports website and sign up for the Remind notifications, especially with the weather we have been seeing lately. 

Cloverbuds (and all 4-H Members) Invited to the Park on Saturday

This Saturday, May 20, the Cloverbuds are meeting at the park at the Berthoud Recreation Center at 3:00 p.m. Since this is an outdoor activity with lots of space and hopefully great weather, all club members are invited to come and have a get-to-know-each-other activity. We have a signup so that we can be sure to have snacks and activities for everyone. Click here to go to the Signup.

Cloverbuds Invited to Participate in Cake Decorating Contest

The Cake Decorating Contest will be on Saturday, June 3 in the McKee 4-H Building Exhibit Hall at The Ranch. Here is the tentative schedule:

· 9:00 a.m. – Check in for Unit 10.
· 9:15 a.m. – Unit 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 Check-in.
· 9:30 a.m. – Unit 10 Judging will begin (Unit 10 will get 1 1/2 Hours to complete their cakes).
· 10:00 a.m. – Judging for Units 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 11 will begin (All of these Units will get 1 hour to complete their cakes).
· 10:00 a.m. – Unit 1 and Cloverbuds Check-in.
· 10:30 a.m. – Unit 1 and Judging Begins (Cloverbuds and Unit 1 will get 30 minutes to complete their cake).

Registration is required. Deadline to register is May 28. *Please make sure you register for the Unit you are enrolled in.

Please arrive on time for your check-in so judging can begin on time. All stations must be set up prior to the start of judging and cleaned up by the time judging ends.

Cloverbuds (and all 4-H Members) Invited to the Park on May 20

Our Cloverbuds will be meeting at the playground at the Berthoud Recreation Center at Waggener Farm Park in May. We will make bird feeders for each Cloverbud to take home, and play at the fun new park.

February 2023 Cloverbuds

Our Cloverbuds met this month to make butterflies using coffee filters, play 4-H Bingo, and learn the 4-H pledge.
