Help with Fair Entry via Zoom

Help is available for using the online Fair Entry system. Please plan to join the live Zoom session on Wednesday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m. We’ll be explaining how to use the Fair Entry system to enter the 2020 Larimer County Fair Family Consumer Science & General Projects 4-H Exhibits, Fashion Revue, and Rocket Fly Day.  (This system will not be used for Livestock entries.)

Check your email for the links to access the live Zoom meeting. If you did not receive it, please email Cindy for the info.

Pick Up Your State Fair Project

All State Fair projects must be picked up at the McKee Building on Wednesday, September 4 between 7:30–10:00 a.m. If you are unable to come, please arrange for a friend, a grandparent, a leader, or someone to pick it up for you. There is not space to store projects.

Show Off Your Projects 2019

We want to see all of the awesome projects and accomplishments from our HCH club members during this Larimer County Fair!

Please share your photos and tell us how you did! You can contact us using any of these options:

We’ll post the pictures so we can all applaud your achievements!

Pick Up Your Project

Project pickup for all Consumer Sciences and General Projects is Wednesday, August 7 between 7:00–10:00 a.m. If you’re unable to come during that time, please find someone who can pick up for you. Any projects NOT picked up by 10:00 a.m. will be available in the McKee Building until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9. Then they will be taken to the Extension Office in Fort Collins. PLEASE make every effort to pick up on Wednesday!

If your project received Champion and you wish to send it to the Colorado State Fair, please be prepared to check it in on Wednesday morning, unless it is a food item. Food items will be submitted on Tuesday, August 13 between 7:30–10:00 a.m.

If checking in your project for state fair this Wednesday, please bring materials to properly box the item for safe travel to Pueblo.

Please do NOT come to the McKee Building and simply gather up your project and leave. There is a check-out procedure.

Interview Judging Tomorrow

We hope that inspiration has struck and you’re well on your way to being ready for Interview Judging tomorrow! If you have any questions, please contact Cindy or Anita.

Project Labels

All eRecord books and projects including display boards, stand-alone projects, and other projects must be properly labeled.

Create a label in the following format with this information:

Larimer (636)
Participant Name, 4-H Age
Department, Class
Name of Project, Unit #

Place the label on the front of your e-Record binder or folder, in the upper-right-hand corner. Also place an identical label on the back of your display board in the upper-right-hand corner, on the bottom of your stand-alone project, on the bottom of your plate of food items, inside your clothing garment, etc.

Shooting Sports Participants

Your Name of Project is “Shooting Sports” and the Unit # is the discipline.

Stand-Alone Projects

It is requested that you write a brief description of your item and how it is used. Use an 8.5″ x 11″ page and include the name of the item as a title, and then how the item is used, and how it was made. Use a large font so it can be read from a distance. This is not required, but it helps the viewing public understand what they’re seeing when they come through to see projects on display.

Here’s an example:

ARROW QUIVER
In 4-H, a hip quiver is required. Bow quivers or ground quivers are not allowed. This quiver is made using PVC pipe to keep my arrows safe when shooting and when retrieving arrows from targets.

If you have any questions, please contact Cindy.

Parade Photos: Wagon Wheels to Ferris Wheels

Nice job with the parade floats, HCH members! Thank you to the Mann family for designing, building, and pulling the member float and Lacey and her Cloverbuds for doing a great job putting the Cloverbud float together! The float took the third place trophy for the 4-H and FFA category.
