Exchange Club

Join Exchange Club by November 1, 2023

Don’t miss a chance to travel and meet new 4-H friends across the country! The Exchange Club is open to all youth ages 13–17! We are now accepting members for our next exchange. Please let us know if you are interested by November 1.

Participants must be 13 years old by June 1, 2024 and 14 years old by June 1, 2025.  The club is a 2-year commitment.

The members host 4-Hers from a partner state for one week and show them around Colorado and teach them about 4-H here. The following year, the members travel to the partner state for one week to experience life, culture, and 4-H in that region of the country.

We fundraise through an annual auction, carnival booth, and a carnival dance. Hosting and traveling is paid for!  Great experiences, lifelong friends to be made, and amazing opportunities for travel is what the Exchange Club is all about. Monthly meetings just started, so join now!

Email (jbroda124@mail.com) or call (970-443-5665) the leader, Jenny Broda, now before spots fill up. This is a great opportunity to join the club.

Larimer County 4-H Exchange Club

Mark your calendars for this fun event on Saturday, February 4 at 5:30 p.m. that supports the Larimer County 4-H Exchange Club. It includes a complimentary dinner, silent auction, and live auction.

4-H Exchange Club Invitation

We are excited to invite teenage youth to join the Larimer County 4-H Exchange Club!

4-H Exchange is an interstate exchange program that allows opportunities to travel, sightsee, meet new people, make new friends, and explore expanding interests.

Exchange is a series of learning experiences where individuals visit the homes of other 4-H members in another geographical area and are visited by them in return. Counties usually host a group one year and return to visit the homes of their guests the following year. Exchange participants must be at least age 14 by June 1 of the year of travel and no older than 18 by January 1 of the current year. Exchange is a 2-year program in which we ask participants to commit to the full 2 years.

For more information please contact the leader Jenny Broda at 970-443-5665 or jbroda124@gmail.com.

Learn More About 4-H Exchange Club

The Larimer County 4-H Exchange Program allows youth to participate in a series of learning experiences in which individuals visit the homes of 4-H members in other geographical areas and are visited by them in return. Counties usually host a delegation one year, and return to visit the homes of their guests the following year.

The Larimer County 4-H Exchange Program is an opportunity for youth to:

  • Gain deeper insight into one’s own values;
  • Increase understanding and appreciation of others’ heritage, customs, and cultural factors;
  • Foster the development of initiative, independence, and leadership skills;
  • Create new and perhaps lasting friendships;
  • Expand 4-H understanding beyond local community or county and share information learned to strengthen local 4-H clubs and activities;
  • Become involved in another community.

Like almost everything else in our lives the 2021 Larimer County 4H Exchange Program will look a little different yet still exciting and fun.
This year our goal is to hold a virtual exchange with a county in Minnesota. We are currently working on the details of what a Virtual Exchange will look like, but the exciting part is you get to be part of this new and different exchange program for this year if you choose to join.

We are hoping to have more information and a better detailed plan at our Zoom meeting on Thursday, January 21. If you are interested in attending our meeting, please contact Caree or Jenny so we can send you the Zoom meeting link.
