Club Achievements 2023

November was a time to celebrate the accomplishments of our club members and leaders over the past 4-H year at the Larimer County 4-H Achievement Night and our November club meeting. So much work and time went into making 2023 a success and we’re so proud of your efforts!

At the county fair, our club had 47 Champions and 25 Reserve Champions for a total of 72! That’s AMAZING! Of those, 18 went on to win Overall Grand Champion or Overall Reserve Grand Champion. And 13 members received the Best Record Book award.

At the Colorado State Fair, our club had 42 entries and 24 received either a Reserve Champion or a Champion and of those, 10 went on to win Overall Grand Champion or Overall Reserve Grand Champion. INCREDIBLE!

At the state level, Beau Reuhlen won Reserve Champion and Caden Powell won Champion at Rocket Fly Day. Avery Kemper took first place in the state digital photo contest.

At the state Shooting Sports competition, we had club members in the top 10 as follows: Bohdan Leppert and Paisley Dennis in Air Pistol; Tori Freeland in Air Rifle: Offhand and Paisley Dennis in Air Rifle: Utility; Willow Cameron, Genesis Rivera, Gideon Rivera, and Walker Cameron in Archery; Walker Cameron in Muzzleloading; and Walker Cameron in all 4 classes of .22 Rifle.

Our club received a Gold certificate for having 75%+ of our members complete the year, which was 80% to be exact.

We passed out completion certificates to all of the members who completed their 4-H year, and our leaders as well.

4HOnline has been upgraded to 2.0 for the 2020–2021 year. To get started visit v2.4HOnline.comnot 4HOnline.com.

Please read the entire instruction document before you begin the process. There are two documents: New and Returning Members and 4-H Volunteer Leaders.

This system uses the word Units instead of Clubs. All of our chartered Clubs are available to enroll in.

High Country Handiworkers members, be sure to choose our club. It doesn’t carry over from last year.

If your password does not work follow the directions in the instruction sheet.

Shooting Sports members: If you have your Hunter Safety, you will need to upload your card. The information did NOT carry over from past years.

Please be patient as we move forward with the new system. It is still a work in progress and we are all learning together.

4-H Leaders

If you have not replied to Pam’s emails with your birthdates, please do so as soon as possible. You will not be able to enroll until that information is input in the system.

Be sure to select Unit and choose the High Country Handiworkers club, as well as your project areas.

2020 Achievement Celebration

We are excited to share a celebration of 4-H members’ achievements in 2020! Although this past 4-H year has been far from normal, you, the 4-H community have adapted. Leaders found fun and interesting ways to keep members involved. Members embraced the challenges of this year to complete their projects, participate in the county and state fairs, and even some national events. We are so proud of all of you and so grateful for everything you do to make the best better here in Larimer County!

In lieu of our usual special awards, the H awards were created to highlight some of the members and leaders who went above and beyond to overcome the difficulties of the year.

Along with the H Awards for both members and leaders, we are recognizing our contest winners and national qualifiers for this past year, and our 2019 state volunteer award winners who were recently announced.

We will be mailing plaques to the H Award winners and small gifts to those who are receiving special recognition this year. Completion certificates, pins, and ribbons, as well as returned shooting sports targets and scorecards will be mailed to organizational leaders to hand out the next time the club is able to meet in person. If anyone needs these items sooner, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Please enjoy this video of members and their accomplishments in 4-H! A big thank you to the Junior Leader Club for creating the video from pictures you sent in.

A big congratulations to all of our award winners and to all of you who persevered through this challenging year! Cheers to embarking on a new 4-H year together!
