Horse Open Ride Nights

Horse open ride nights in April are at 6:00 p.m. in the new 4-H, Youth, and Community Livestock Arena. The dates are April 3, April 10, and April 24.

All participants should park in the dirt parking lot on the north side of the building. We will enter through the north doors.

We will gather in the warm-up arena before the ride starts.

Directions:

From the North at Andalusian Drive, turn left on Show Ring Road, right on Service Road, and right on the road just past the outdoor arena.  All trailers and livestock trailers park in Lot RR, with overflow vehicle parking in Lot E.

When Eagles Hockey Games are scheduled in Blue Arena, no entry will be allowed from the west at Arena Circle.

Colorado Horse Show Rule Book Art Contest

Would you like to design the cover of the new Colorado Horse Show Rule Book? Members can submit a black and white drawing to be considered for the new cover. The drawing should be horse-related. Please keep in mind the size and shape of the printed books (8½” x 11″ or 4″ x 9″). See the existing rule book here: https://co4h.colostate.edu/program-areas/horse-resources/

The winner of the contest will have their registration fee waived for one of the statewide camps/conferences (CLC, LDC, Youth Fest, or State 4-H Conference), not including lodging or contest fees. This waived fee must be used within one calendar year of being awarded, as long as it is reasonable to meet the registration deadline for the selected event.

Please submit your artwork to Jonathan Vrabec at JonathanVrabec@elpasoco.com.

Submit your drawing by the November 27, 2023 deadline.
