Leadership Development Conference 2021

Leadership Development Conference (LDC) will be held VIRTUALLY on February 27 from 10 a.m.–4 pm. Registration is open through February 12 at 11:59 p.m. via 4HOnline

This event is for 4-H members 14–18 years old. 4-H leaders who would normally act as chaperones are also welcome to attend. Registration is required. This event is FREE this year! The State 4-H Senate and State Shooting Sports Ambassadors have some great virtual workshops lined up.

Colorado Leadership Conference Hosted by District 2

Colorado Leadership Conference is for 4-H members in grades 6–8. This year we’ll be Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges into the new 4-H year.

While we can’t be together for the event, join us for a live session on November 14th beginning at 10 a.m.!

District officers will host a welcome presentation and activities for you to participate in throughout the day. We’re going to explore a few fun alternative workshop formats to explore Building Bridges, Continuous Learning, Breaking the Past, and Exploring New Skills.

Junior Leadership Club Elections for 2021 4-H Year

This is a special opportunity for senior 4-H members for the 2020–2021 4-H year! The Junior Leadership Club is hosting officer elections for Larimer County online during the months of May and June. To nominate yourself, fill out the application for the offices listed below. The deadline to fill out the self-nomination form is May 31, 2020. The Larimer County 4-H Junior Leadership Club members in good standing will be voting for the best candidate to represent the county.

Club Announcements

New Cake Decorating members should have received an email with info for a Zoom workshop on Monday, May 12.

Welcome to our newest club project leader, Jenelle Kemper! She will be taking on Photography!

If you are enrolled in Shooting Sports and haven’t done orientation, you can complete the Safety orientation online now.

If you ordered club t-shirts or hoodies, they are in and will be distributed when we see each other again.

If you are 11-years-old or older, you can complete the entire course online to get a Hunter Education card right now! No in-person class is required. Even if you’re not enrolled in the Shooting Sports project, this is a great opportunity to get your Hunter Education card! Parents should consider doing it as well.

The Junior Leadership Club is offering scholarships to help with project expenses. Find information on the Junior Leadership Club’s website and grab an application for a project scholarship here.

2020 Junior Jam: Life is an Adventure!

District 2 would like to invite Colorado State 4-H members between the ages of 8–13 to participate in a one-day leadership experience. Youth will learn about all the adventures life has to offer, do fun activities, and learn new and exciting things! We hope to see you there! Registration is open through March 9 on 4HOnline.com.

  • Who: Any 4-H member between the ages of 8-13, from all Colorado counties.
  • Where: The McKee Building at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado.
  • When: March 21 from 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. (early pick up at 6:00 p.m.).
  • Cost: $25/camper, due to Larimer County Extension by March 16

Junior Leadership Club Officer Training

Want to learn to serve as a 4-H club officer? The Junior Leadership Club will be hosting their club officer training this Monday, October 28 at 6:00 p.m. Rotate through guided instructions for serving in the President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Parliamentarian roles. 

Colorado Leadership Conference 2019

This year’s Colorado Leadership Conference theme is “Living By 4-H.” The purpose of this camp is to provide an opportunity for youth to learn teamwork, leadership, communication, and citizenship skills through a variety of workshops.

  • When: November 1–3, 2019.
  • Where: Glenwood Springs, Colorado at the Courtyard by Marriott.
  • Who can attend: 4-H members 6th–9th grade.
  • County Registration Deadline: Register through 4honline by September 27.
  • Cost: Depending on the number of registrants and the cost of transportation, the cost will likely be around $70. We will know the total once this information is determined. The Larimer County 4-H Foundation will cover 70% of the cost of your registration if you have participated in the Carnival. The original cost is $135 for registration and the cost of transportation.
